HRT to move headquarters

HRT have decided to move their headquarters to Madrid’s Caja Magica, a multifunctional sports centre designed by the architect Dominique Perrault in the Spanish capital city. The team have been based in Valencia.

“Madrid and the Caja Magica facilities fit perfectly with the standards we were looking for,” said HRT CEO Saul Ruiz de Marcos. It is hoped the headquarters will then be fully operational in May, with the technical design office joining the rest of the team in early June.

“We’ve been working hard for months and establishing our permanent headquarters was very important,” added team principal Luis Perez-Sala. “Finding a space in which we could all work together was vital, in order to optimize work and generate a good team feeling, a sense of belonging.

Spaniard Pedro de la Rosa and Indian Narain Karthikeyan will race for HRT in 2012, which will be the team's third season in Formula One racing.
