Rossi: Potential We Better Than This

Valentino Rossi was getting frustrated. Despite Casey Stoner and Dani Pedrosa missing the second day of testing, Rossi still failed to be the fastest. Rossi was only seventh.

As in the first day, second day of testing on Wednesday, February 29 is also interrupted by rain. The seven-times world champion could not hide his disappointment that once again failed to obtain a significant number of laps due to inclement weather.

"Another day is practically useless, this is definitely sad because for us it is important to race as much as possible and the conditions on the circuit today better than yesterday," Rossi said as quoted by Crash, Thursday (01/03/2012).

Rossi took a dry circuit to optimize its Desmosedici GP 12. Unfortunately, Rossi had only two hours for a chance to try a circuit Sepang Circuit rain.

"We're trying to concentrate on this morning because we knew the day would probably rain. Using both the existing motor, we tried a new traction control, update software to control the tire and different positions on the bike, "said Rossi.

After devouring 18 laps, Rossi's best time record is 2.130 seconds and 2 minutes in seventh place 0.845 seconds behind because of the Yamaha rider Ben Spies to be the fastest racer. Rossi even behind team-mate Nicky Hayden who finished sixth.

"All changes were positive, but when we tried to unite all things in the motor and lead a lap with new tires, even a sudden rain. So I think our potential can still be a little better than this, "explained Rossi.
